Message From Our Founder

Hello 👋🏾,

How are you? No, really. How’s your mind and body in these uncertain times? I’m hoping all is well, and believing all will be well soon in the fight against COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus.

At this time, humanity is crying out for help. We are not only fighting to mitigate the spread of the virus and flatten the curve. We are also fighting against a scarcity of resources needed to meet healthcare and economic demands.

While our federal, state, and local governments are strategizing to find solutions for so many rapidly evolving problems — the need for swift action around the country is growing even faster.

Americans are being laid off. Hospitals are running out of months worth of personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to treat patients with the virus. It is the American healthcare standard to wear PPE like gloves, masks, and gowns when interacting with someone who is infected or presenting symptoms.

At the current rate of the virus’s spread, healthcare professionals (HCP) will be on the frontlines of this war fighting without proper gear to keep them safe.

Healthcare professionals around the country need us to stand in the gap, so that they can be ready to serve those in need.

Many of us have loved ones who are healthcare providers and carry the heroic titles of nurse, doctor, or nursing assistant.

For me, it’s my 62-year-old mom who still works in the field, my brother who works at a hospital in California, a few aunts and cousins, sorority sisters, and Britney, my childhood bestfriend — all people whom I love and admire especially in times like this.

In effort to assist in creating solutions, NouNou will be producing protective gear fitted for the N95 masks. These masks are the recommend standard by the CDC.

As a clothing rental service and fashion label, we have the manufacturing capacity to produce batches of N95 masks and gowns to provide additional resources to our local HCPs and those around the nation.

Production of the N95 protective mask will begin March 23, 2020. Each mask will be made in accordance to the CDC guidelines for PPE.

Now is the time for action.

I know we can do it because we are powHERful.

Things change when women rise up!

I am humbly asking our past customers, social media friends, and supporters to stand with us in this fight. We can all do our part in helping healthcare professionals and bringing our country back to normalcy.

Here’s how you can join the fight:

  • Visit our website:
  • Purchase a case of PPE
  • Or purchase any item from our FOR SALE section

All proceeds will go directly to the cost of production which includes purchasing fabric for masks and gowns, paying for labor, and sterilization to eliminate contamination. We will not sell masks to the general public. Therefore purchasing a case of PPE is an act of kindness and can be used as a tax write-off.

Lastly, despite all the uncertainty, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. We’ll get on the other side of this.

Keep faith. Spread love. Stay home.

Warmest regards,

Vanessa L. Celestin
